Please note that effective Friday, January 7, 2022, the California Department of Public Health has implemented new requirements for Visitors in Skilled Nursing Facilities. Week: 08/08/2021 – 08/14/2021

The facility will continue to test in the next two weeks until we achieve two consecutive weeks of COVID-19 negative test results from staff and residents due to known 2 positive cases of COVID-19 at the facility from last weekend. Staff and Residents’ safety is our top priority and monitored daily of symptoms of COVID-19. Family members are welcomed to visit in person by calling the facility and setting up an appointment.

08/11/2021, Per new State Order: CA Department of Public Health issue a new order that applies only to indoor visitation in the facility will require proof of vaccination or receiving a negative result for COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the visitation. These conditions do not apply to visitors seeking only outdoor visits that will not require entering the facility. If you do not feel well or have cold or flu-like symptoms you are encouraged to remain at home and visit at a later date when you have no symptoms. If you are unable to do an in-person visit, you may use video chat, calling, and/or text.

This week we learned about one staff member who tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member is under strict isolation precautions at home. We did across-the-board testing of all patients and staff on 08/04/2021 as a result. The facility will continue to test in the next two weeks until we achieve two consecutive weeks of COVID-19 negative test results from staff and residents.

On 08/04/2021, we learned about one staff member who tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member is under strict isolation precautions at home. We did across-the-board testing of all patients and staff on 08/04/2021 as a result. The facility will continue to test in the next two weeks until we achieve two consecutive weeks of COVID-19 negative test results from staff and residents.

On 08/07/2021, we learned 2 patients who tested positive for Covid-19. The patients are in our isolation zone on station 4 and will continue to monitor the patients. The facility is continuing to implement all the necessary safety precautions that are consistent with the CDC guidelines as well as those of the recommendations of Public Health. We are also doing testing of all patients weekly and all staff 2X/week.

Week of 8/23/20-8/29/20 As the facility continues to conduct weekly testing of both residents and staff alike, results continue to come in. The facility has now just learned that the results of the staff have all come back negative that were received. However, 2 residents tested positive.  The facility continues to implement all necessary safety and infection control precautions. The facility also continues to work closely with Public Health to stop the spread of Covid19.

Week of 8/16/20-8/22/20 As the facility continues to conduct weekly testing of both residents and staff alike, results continue to come in. Week of 8/9/20-8/15/20 As the facility continues another round of weekly testing of both residents and staff, test results are coming into the facility. The facility has learned that an additional 5 residents have tested positive for Covid19. They are being cared for in the isolation/covid unit. The facility is continuing to implement the necessary protocols. The facility continues to work closely with Public Health to try and stop the spread.

Week of 8/2/20-8/8/20 As you all are aware, the facility continues to conduct weekly testing of both its residents and staff in an effort to curb the spread of Covid19. The facility has been now made aware that 2 residents and 1 employee tested positive. The employee is currently home resting and in quarantine. The residents are in isolation in the red zone. The facility has notified Public Health and continue to work with them. The facility will continue to provide updates with any new developments.

July 2020

Week of 7/26/20-8/1/20 The facility is currently in rapid response testing mode.  As such, the facility is now slowly receiving test results of both residents and staff.  The facility has learned that an additional 8 residents and 5 employees have tested positive.  The residents are currently in isolation and cohorted in the red zone.  They are being continuously monitored.  The 5 employees are home and under quarantine.  Public Health has been notified and the facility continues to work with them.  All precautions have been implemented.  The safety and health of our residents and staff remain a top priority.

Week of 7/19/20-7/25/20 This week we learned about 1 staff member who tested positive for Covid-19. The staff member is under strict isolation precautions. We would also like to note that this individual is currently not showing any signs or symptoms. Please return to this webpage to get updates as they come in.
